The Palasthapana ceremony for Sri Selva Vinayakar Kovil, Brisbane, will take place from 30 October to 1 November 2026. Palasthapana is when the deities are moved to a temporary location before the renovation commences.
Following its completion, renovations to the main temple will begin in preparation for the Kumbabishekam, which will be held towards the end of 2027.
Kumbabishekam takes place every 12 years, giving the temple the opportunity to renovate and consecrate the premises so it can continue serving devotees for the next 12 years. Kumbabishekam is a sacred Hindu temple consecration ceremony where sanctified water from ceremonial pots is poured over the temple tower and main deity to renew spiritual energy.
We warmly invite you to be part of this important milestone by donating towards the temple's renovation. Every contribution, regardless of size, helps us preserve this sacred space and continue serving the community for generations.
